Chet's 152nd Observation Scrapbook
Open The Doors
This is Chet suited up for a recon run in the O-47A. I once asked him - "why the heavy leather clothing?" - his explanation was that the photographer lay face down in the belly of the aircraft shooting out a door in the bottom. There was no heat and no window - it could get quite cold. The titles on some of these images were lettered in india ink on the negatives so they would appear white on the prints. I'm sure this title is his - he had this sense of humor throughout his life.
