As I began painting figuratively, it became clear that I was working on a first series, now titled “Acknowledging Alone.” 
It is NOT about being solitary or lonely, but it is about times good and bad when one experiences being alone, even if in the midst of others. 
The subjects selected thus far are from my thinking about times of alone I’ve experienced personally and seen profoundly affect those close to me.  What’s missing here are scenes from childhood – maybe they will happen later.  I expect to come back to this over time.
