Chet's 152nd Observation Scrapbook

I have mentioned in my artist statement that my Dad's scrapbook was perhaps my earliest introduction to photography when I was growing up. The images are presented here in the original order that he placed them. Chet joined the Army Air Force around 1939 and was stationed in the 152nd Observation Squadron at Hillsgrove (in Warwick) Rhode Island. The field is still there, much expanded, and is now known as T.F.Green Airport. In 1941, Chet re-enlisted and was stationed at Barksdale Field in Louisiana where he ran an aerial reconnaisance training operation.
