The deep blue of the sky, the absolute blackness of the Moon's disk and the brilliant white of the Corona were quite startling. Venus was brilliant to the right out of the photo. Mercury is below and left of the Sun. The red flares on the upper right I believe are prominences which were observed the day before with a neighboring camper with a Hydrogen alpha filter equipped telescope. We may have been the only people in the campground without a large telescope.
